Standard equipment on the following models-
XT250 Trail All 2 valve models 1980-83
TT250 Enduro 1980-82
On the underside of the fender the hole position for the various tail lights are marked, 3Y0, 3Y1 etc so you know exactly where to drill. I tried to take a picture but you cannot make out the markings in the photo.
There is an instruction leaflet with the fender saying -
"This is a part for the exclusive purpose of repair and it may not be fitted directly on to some models. In such a case, please make a hole in it using a drill and the like to make the fitting possible.
YAMAHA MOTOR CO., LTD."
This means you will have to drill it to accept the tail light
