We have had this shaft reproduced by an OEM Manufacturer

4mm longer than the original so you don't need to fold up most aftermarket footrests when starting the bike

TY125 & TY175 Kickstart Parts

This part was discontinued by Yamaha so gave us the opportunity to come up with an improved version. The knurling on the spline for the stop on the end is much improved. Engineering technology has much improved in 40 years!

You most probably will have a hole punched in the side of you clutch cover, most TY175's have this. This problem is caused by the shaft turning within the stop, the sticky out bit on the right in the picture. The stop is only pressed on to the end of the shaft. This sends the kickstart bolt through the clutch cover. Unless you replace the kickstart shaft this will keep occurring and can be most annoying after you have spent a small fortune on getting the case welded.

These new shafts have a much improved way of attaching the stop.
